Story of Rescue

August 2010, Jakub Jaskółowski

Marianna Kasprzak was born in 1936. During the World War II Marianna together with her parents, Feliks and Wiktoria Antosiewicz lived in Radzyń Podlaski.

The Antosiewicz family helped shelter two Jews, Pesa Biedermann and Saba Blumen, who escaped from a transport to the concentration camp at Majdanek. The Jewish women moved freely around the house, but when endangered, hid in a shelter by the stove. Pesa and Saba stayed at Antosiewicz's until 1945. After the war they both got married and emigrated from Poland.

Maria and Feliks Antosiewicz were awarded the medal “The Righteous Among the Nations”.
