Aryan papers
Aryan papers: the Jews hiding during the war by acquiring the false "Aryan" identity had to obtain the evidence of their new personal details. These documents were primarily the Kennkarte, which is an ID, as well as the birth certificate, certificate of residence, work card, etc. Having a birth certificate and a residence stub allowed for the independent Kennkarten formation: hence, many people tried to get only the Christian birth certificate, inter alia from the priests. The Aryan papers were formed for their members by the underground organizations, including the Council to Aid the Jews "Zegota", which used the services of the Home Army “legalization units”; it issued in total 50 thousand false documents for its charges. The papers could have also been bought for a lot of money on the black market (mainly in urban fairs) from the professional counterfeiters and from the employees of the city offices. Sometimes the documents were handed to the Jews by their Polish friends.
